Who BFGoodrich are
BF Goodrich was founded in Akron, Ohio in 1870 and was the first tyre manufacturer in the United States. The tyre business passed into the Uniroyal Goodrich joint venture in the 1980s, and Michelin bought Uniroyal Goodrich in 1990. BFGoodrich has been a Michelin group brand ever since, made in Michelin plants to Michelin process standards.
BFGoodrich is part of the Michelin group, with a range focused on off-road, SUV, performance and passenger applications.
The reputation is built on competition — desert racing and rally rather than circuit — and on one product family above all, the All-Terrain T/A, which has been a fixture on pick-ups and 4×4s for decades. Alongside it sit a mud-terrain range, road-going SUV tyres, a performance summer range and ordinary passenger sizes.
